• On May 17 - 21, 2008 the International Trademark Association's Anniversary 130th Annual Meeting will take place in Berlin. Within the Meeting there will be arranged a number of bilateral and multilateral meetings with foreign partners and clients of Firm YUS for the purpose of experience exchange and coordination of a unified conception in the sphere of intellectual property protection in view of changes in the Russian Federation legislation. Svistov Andrey and Zakharova Olesya are attending the Meeting on the part of Firm YUS.
• On November 21st 2007 Svistov Andrey S. was granted the status of the Russian Federation versatile patent attorney.
• On March 29th 2007 Grishanova Galina I. was granted the status of the Russian Federation trademark and appellation of origin attorney; Volkova Svetlana Y. was granted the status of the Russian Federation trademark attorney.
• In the period from April 28 to May 2, 2007 Chicago (US) will host the 129th Annual Meeting of the International Trademark Association. During the event a number of working meetings with foreign partners and clients of YUS Firm is scheduled for the purpose of sharing experiences and developing a single strategy in the field of intellectual property protection. From YUS, the Meeting will be attended by Andrey Svistov and Olesya Zakharova.
• In the period from August to October, 2007 the management of YUS is planning to hold a series of meetings with clients and specialists in intellectual property, which will be devoted to practical application of Part Four of the RF Civil Code effective from January 1, 2008. • In the period from May 6 to 10, 2006 Toronto (Canada) hosted the 128th Meeting of the International Trademark Association (INTA). The Association provides a major forum in intellectual property where specialists - lawyers and patent attorneys - from various countries may share professional experiences in the trademark use and legal protection. Andrey Svistov and Larisa Burakovskaya, as YUS experts, participated in this event.
• In March 2006 Patent and Law Firm YUS joined the International Trademark Association (INTA).
• On March 21, 2006 Natalia L. Shushkova received the status of RF patent attorney in trademarks.
• On March 1, 2006, due to a growth in the workload, the staff of the Trademark Division was increased.
• On November 24, 2005 Patent and Law Firm YUS celebrated its eleventh anniversary.
• On December 16, 2004 Sergei V. Lovtsov, Director General, defended the thesis and received the scientific degree of Candidate of Law. The thesis subject was "Three-dimensional forms as trademarks and industrial designs".
• On May 28, 2004 Andrey S. Svistov and Elena A. Schelkunova received the status of RF patent attorney in trademarks and appellations of origin of goods.
• On January 1, 2004, due to expanding the activity lines in the international protection of intellectual property, the staff of the International Relations Division was increased.
